Energy stocks are posting a +0.7% gain, which is better than that of any other major sector. Coal company Peabody Energy (BTU) 48.17 +1.82, + 3.93% is one of the leaders today. The strength is coming from the oil and gas explorers +0.7% and oil and gas transportation companies +0.6%.

News that the European Union has agreed to offer $30 billion Euros of financial aid to Greece has caused  

volatility to fall -3.8%. 

Airline stocks continue to climbing today, the Amex Airline Index is up +1.9%, which adds to last week's +4.0% gain.  The gain is coming on news that UAL Corp (UAUA) 21.37 +0.87, +4.24% and US Airways (LCC) 7.54 +0.22, +3.01% are in merger talks.
