Morning Coffee Pre-Market Wall Street News

Stock Futures Point Up. U.S. stock futures are higher in the pre-market after the Commerce Department reported a better than expected Durable Orders report. Wall Street analysts had expected Durable Orders to rise 3.8%, but that number was easily beaten, coming in at 5.7%. Last month’s report came in at -3.8% and was revised lower to -4.9%.  Durable Orders reports the change in sales of big ticket items that have a lifespan of three years or more. Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories and Orders February 2013
