Stocks have given up some of their gains today, while material stocks are trying to keep the market in positive territory.

Material stocks are up +1.7% led by gold stocks.  Newmont Mining (NEM) 57.40 +2.24, 4.06% and Barrick Gold (ABX) 44.24 +1.15, +2.67% are seeing strong support.  Gold is currently trading up +6.20 to $1247.00 per ounce.

Shares of Diamond Offshore (DO) 55.59 -3.62, -6.11% are lower on reports that one of their oil rigs may be leaking in the gulf. Goldman Sachs (GS) has also cut their recommendation on DO to Sell.

3M (MMM) 74.05 -0.69, -0.92% announced that the weakened Euro could shave of -$0.05 from their full year guidance.
