Tesla Motors Blows Away Earnings. Electric car manufacture Tesla (TSLA) posted their first quarterly profit blowing away Wall Street estimates. The company posted EPS of $0.12 versus a year ago loss of -$0.76.  Wall Street estimates had the company only posting earnings of $0.04. Revenue at the company was $562 million and gross margins doubled.  The company also beat their production estimates for the Model S, producing over 5,000 cars.  The company also said that it would beat its FY13 vehicle delivery estimate of 20K.
