Gun Sales Propel Smith & Wesson. Smith & Wesson's (SWHC) reported FQ2 earnings of $0.28 beating estimates by a wide margin.  The company also issued higher-than-expected FQ3 guidance. Revenue for the weapons manufacture rose 2% to $139.3M, while income from continuing operations increased to $17.1M. Sales of handguns at the company continue to climb, up a whopping +27% as people rush to purchase weapons for self protects and amid a fresh push for gun control. Pre-market: 12.76 +0.64 (5.28%)

Walmart Announces Black Friday Deals.

Walmart Announces Black Friday Deals. Today Walmart, the nation's largest retailer announced their highly anticipated Black Friday deals.  The retailer plans to begin its sales deals on Thanksgiving evening at 6:00 p.m. Electronics will play an even more prominent role this year at the retailer, with an expanded list of TV’s, tablets, and video games going on sale. The company is offering a 32” HD TV for only $98.00. Walmart is also expanding its "one-hour guarantee" policy. The policy is that if you're in line between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, the company guarantees you'll either be able to purchase the item that night, or receive it by Christmas. This year, 21 items will be covered by the guarantee. According to the National Retail Federation holiday shoppers are expected to spend about 3.9% more this year than they did last year. Morning Coffee Pre-Market Wall Street News

Apple Beat EPS Estimates. Apple (AAPL) reported FQ3 earnings that beat Wall Street expectations. EPS was report at $7.47, but net profit dropped to $6.9B from $8.8B, while revenue increased 1% to $35.3B. The company said that iPhone sales came in at 31.2M, up 20% from a year earlier. Gross margins fell along with sales in Europe and China.  iPad sales came in at 14.6M disappointing analysts. Some on Wall Street are pointing to the falling margins being a direct result of competition from Google’s (GOOG) Android based devices. Pre-market: 439.24 +20.25 (4.83%)

Japan Market Sells Off Again. For the second time in two weeks the Japanese market sold off.  In late trading the Nikkei (EWJ) fell -5.15%, bring the two week decline to over -14%. Traders point to fears that the Fed will end its QE program as well as the falling dollar-yen (FXY) as the cause of the volatility. (FXY) Pre-market: 96.79 +0.01 (0.01%)
