MIDDAY LUNCH

Dow 11172.71  +54.22, Nasdaq 2511.46  +4.35,S&P 1188.49  +5.45 

Stocks are off their session highs, but have seemed to find a base.  The ten major sectors are mixed, with Consumer Cyclical, Healthcare and Utilities trading in the red.  The Energy Sector is leading the market up +0.76%. 

The October ISM Manufacturing Index came in at 56.9. Economists had expected a reading of 54.0.  September’s reading was 54.4.

Construction spending also came in better than expected. Spending for September increased +0.5% when economist had expected a -0.7% decline.
