Microsoft Share Jump On Earnings. Microsoft (MSFT) reported that their FQ1 net profit climbed +16% to $5.2B.  EPS were reported at $0.62 beating Wall Street estimates by $0.08. Revenues at the company also rose +16% to $18.53B. Microsoft's performance was boosted by strong corporate sales of its Office and server software.  Earlier this week Apple (APPL) announced that they would begin offering their latest operating system Maverick for free along with iWork which is their version of Office.
