MIDDAY LUNCH

Dow 10730.76  -98.92, Nasdaq 2336.77  -33.98,S&P 1133.84  -12.40 

Stocks were able to post small gains in early trading, but the bears were able to take control and move the market into negative territory. 

All ten major sectors are posting losses with half of the sectors posting losses of more than -1.0% led by conglomerates and technology, down -1.96% and -1.73 respectively.

Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. (CCE) 21.88 -9.92, -31.19% shares are getting hit hard today following the sale of its North American bottling operations to Coca-Cola (KO) 58.58 -0.54, -0.91% for $12.3 billion.

Shares of Sara Lee (SLE) 14.50 +1.07, +7.97% are higher after reports that the company has received an unsolicited offer from KKR (KKR) 10.80 -0.04, -0.37%.  Additional reports say that Unilever (UL) 28.91 -0.33, -1.13% may be interested.

In commodities news crude oil is trading at 81.64, +0.06, while gold is trading at 1314.50 -3.30.
